Yippie! Today we are heading out early to go to Portland for the day, Jason, Me, Ava, and Great Grandma (GG)! My Sister Thea has been going to college and working there for over a year, and we haven't seen her since the wedding in Vegas. She also hasn't met Ava yet! GG sat in the back with Ava, who only woke up a couple times on the way down...but was getting pretty fussy and 'over' the car thing by the last 20 minutes before we arrived! We met up with Thea at her condos, and said our hellos and stretched! I fed Ava and we were off to Denny's for some lunch! Thea's boyfriend ended up meeting us there as well. It was nice seeing her, she looks so different (older!) and seems to be happy and doing good! GG was very happy to see her, but was leary about her boyfriend, understandably!! We all were... not many would be good enough for our Thea! After GG treated us to lunch, we headed to downtown to walk around Portland, grab coffees, see the sites and sounds of the City, and hit up red square where the Christmas tree was already up! Portland really is a beautiful city, I miss going there! It had been over 6 Years since I went, and I used to go all the time when I was younger and still lived in Southern Oregon. We all had a fantastic time! I think Thea had a great time seeing Ava too. Ava slept a little, but mainly just checked things out while we walked the streets! We stopped on the water front to feed her once, and then she was back in her stroller, chilling and along for the ride! It was pretty cold, so we didn't want to carry her a lot, as she was all nice and bundled in her toasty stroller! Here are some pic's of the day!
