Grandma's House rocks!

We decided to swing by Granny's house for a short visit while we were out running errands. Ava had just woken up from a long nap and was in great spirits after seeing her. I took some cute pic's and a video of Ava playing the "throw my toy on the floor so Grandma picks it up" game!

Ava Marian is already 7 months!!
We can't believe it, Ava's 7 months old already! Here are a few pictures we took before heading out to work and school. J had just finished feeding Ava and she was being super talkative...just cooing and jabbering away! We are amazed at how much she's changed already!
Here a series of 3 pic's I took right after one another, and thought were cute how they captured her playful mood!
Later in the afternoon, we had some more playtime before bed!

Visit to the Anderson's
Tomorrow I head back to work. Everything is in order and I am looking forward to getting out of the house! I decided to stop by Amanda & Shawn's house with Ava this evening to have a visit. Also, Amanda's Mom Sally had bought Ava a nice present. It was nice seeing them both and Ava had a blast.

"Saturday...in the park...think it was the 20th of Feb!"
Saturday, and we have all blue skies - yippee!
Today started out with a slow, relaxed morning; watching the dog championships and playing with Ava. She can't crawl yet, but certainly has no problem maneuvering herself around to get any toy she wants. She amazes J & I every day! Here are some pic's at home before we headed out for the day...
After all that fun, we still wanted (needed!) to get outside and enjoy the sunshine! We packed up and headed to Blythe park in Bothell. Ava decided to take a nap while we walked her around in her stroller...
Ava wakes up, and so far isn't too impressed with the park. After a few minutes to wake up and get used to the sun, she looks unimpressed as we put her in the swing! As you can see below, it didn't take her long to figure out that swinging is fun!
OK, now Ava is a total pro at "pullin chains"!!!
I'm sure that J & I had more fun at the park than Ava! :) It was so nice to get some fresh air, much needed sunshine, and of course, watch our growing little girl swing for the first time! It's hard to believe in a few days she will be 7 months! Where does the time go?!
Day of visitors/Happy Birthday Deary Dena! - Friday Feb 19th, 2010
It's been a wonderful, busy week! Today, Monique came over to visit me & Ava during her lunch hour, and later Sean & Dena came over so we could celebrate a belated Birthday for Dena.
I didn't get a picture of Mo with Ava, dang it! But here are some of Ava showing Auntie Mo how she is a big girl and can sit and play!
It was so nice to See Monique (I've been lonely since I'm still home from work recovering!), and Ava and I had a wonderful time with her!
Later that evening, Sean & Dena came over for dinner. Once Ava went to sleep, I started getting everything ready. Dinner entree would be a new recipe that I had to try, as it looked like something Dena would order from a restaurant! Penne pasta with chicken, mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, with a garlic cream and provolone/parmesan cheese sauce - mmm! I baked a lemon cake as well. Dena Renea's Birthday was on Feb 10th, which being a week after my surgery meant we couldn't celebrate with her and Sean. So, we decided to celebrate tonight, and have her open her gift! All went well and it was wonderful to see them both!

Ava goes to VMC to work with Daddy! Thursday Feb 18th, 2010
Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, it's off to Daddy's work we go! We haven't brought Ava into J's work for 2 or 3 months, so we decided to visit & say hi to everyone there, as well as have lunch with Jason. I picked Ava up from 'school' and we made our way out to Redmond. We had such a good time! It was a nice treat for J also, to show her around and get away from the shop for a bit. The whole crew at VMC are like family now, it is wonderful!
We did notice that Ava is starting to get a bit of stranger anxiety now...she didn't cry, but was obviously more comfortable with men than women. She smiled at all the guys but wouldn't give one smile all afternoon to Lynn...??!! She was very serious the whole time, it cracked us up! I guess she takes after J in this department - when you're at work it's no-nonsense time!

Buggy's bath time! - Monday Feb 15th, 2010
Here is a series of pictures we took Monday evening during Ava's bath! Bath time has become even more fun now that she can sit up; as she loves to splash, play with her water toys, and chew and suck the water out of a wet wash cloth!
She was too long for her baby bath tub, so we purchased this inflatable 'ducky' tub at Fred Meyer, she loves it :) Plus, it even quacks!
Over the past couple days, we've noticed that Ava's tongue is almost always sticking out!! She used to do this right after she ate, but now it's almost constant...smiling or not. :)

St. Valentine's Day! - Sunday, Feb 14th, 2009
St. Valentine's Day...ah! Jason had to work on Saturday, and Ava had a fever Thursday and Friday, so we were happy to spend the day together as a family, with J and Ava both feeling lots better! J surprised me with a yummy coffee and gift of beautiful roses, while Ava enjoyed her first balloon!
We went out to Fred Meyer (my 1st outing since the surgery aside from follow up Dr appt), followed by a stop for an ice cream treat (I can eat ice cream)! Our little love bug, really liked the balloon and soon figured out how to pull it down to her level to play with it! It was a great day - Happy Valentines Day everyone!
